Huawei is gearing up to launch new smartwatches and it is now confirmed that the upcoming smart wristwatches will be called Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro.

The WiFi Alliance recently published certifications for new Huawei smartwatches with models ARC-AL00, MDS-Al10 and MDS-AL00. The certification authority has revealed the ARC-AL00 as the Huawei Watch 4 and the latter two models as the Huawei Watch 4 Pro. The codename of the watch refers to the words “Arc” and “Medusa” for the standard and Pro variants, respectively.

 

For your information, both of these devices are unreleased and this certification marks the first confirmation of their upcoming launch.

The certificate also reveals that the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro will be powered by HarmonyOS operating system and it could be HarmonyOS 3. However, there is no other information available regarding the specifications or design. But one thing is certain that the Watch 4 series is ready to be unveiled.

It’s been two years since the Huawei Watch 3 series was launched and it’s the right time to release a new Watch . To mention, the Huawei Watch 3 series was the first wearable to feature HarmonyOS 2 and native LTE connectivity.

Currently, Huawei hasn’t announced any official details regarding the Huawei Watch 4 lineup, but it could debut alongside the Huawei P60 series later this month. Meanwhile, there are a few leaks that may give us some important information.

A tipster has suggested that the Huawei Watch 4 Series is likely to come with satellite communication for sending SMS without a mobile network. This is a brand new capability and will make Huawei the world’s first smartwatch with satellite SMS.

The next input suggests that the smartwatch will use premium zirconium material for the frame, but it could also be more expensive than the regular variant. Also, we are looking forward to better LTE technologies for native calling.
